This transportation option from Turkey is beneficial for the delivery of heavy cargo (for example, ceramic tiles, building materials, metals), when more than 60 tons can be loaded into a wagon (the ideal option is to transport 3 trucks of 22-23 tons each with transshipment into a wagon of 66 -68 tons). In this case, it is necessary to take into account the volume of the rail car (from 120 to 161 m3 depending on the model) and the fact that during loading it is impossible to use the entire volume of the car. In this case, the cargo is delivered by trucks from Turkey to the Poti Georgia station, where the cargo is transferred from trucks to wagons and documents are drawn up. In this case, the ferry crossings Alyat (Baku) – Turkmenbashi (Turkmenistan) and Alyat (Baku) – Kuryk (Kazakhstan) are also used in the future.
