Stages of the transportation process

The process of transporting excavators, bulldozers, front loaders, graders, cranes, and other equipment includes the following stages:

  • Determining the type of railcar: Determine if the cargo is oversize and choose either a flat railcar or a lowbed railcar.
  • Development of a fastening plan: The fastening plan is approved by the railway of the country of departure.

  • Delivery of the railcar for loading: Preparing the railcar for equipment loading.
  • Loading equipment: Carried out using special equipment or cranes.

Sea transportation of road and construction equipment

  • Type of vessels: Ro-Ro or bulk type vessels are used.
  • Transshipment in the port: At the port, equipment is transferred to railway wagons or road transport.
  • Delivery to stations with wide gauge (1520 mm): In some cases, equipment is transported by trailers to stations with 1520 mm gauge for further transshipment onto railway wagons. This is particularly relevant for shipments from Turkey and Europe to the CIS and Mongolia via the ports of Poti or Batumi in Georgia, or via the stations of Klaipeda in Lithuania or Brest in Belarus.
